  3. How can I get pricing information?
    1. Registered users can check our pricing from left menu selection after logging in

  4. What formats do you support?
    1. We support a large number of formats. Please refer to our services section to view the complete list of supported formats
    2. If you don't find the format that you are looking for, please feel free to contact us at +1 510 226 9000 x706. We are continuously adding support for new formats


  5. Do you require transcripts of the media to be submitted to use your services?
    1. Absolutely not. We offer the flexibility to use your existing transcripts to synchronize or caption the media, thus saving you from additional transcription cost. If you do have your own text for the media that you want to synchronize or caption, then you can upload the files and get your output in less than 3 hrs
    2. We do however, also provide transcription service to our clients that may not have had the content transcribed


  6. Do you transcribe the content if I don't already have the transcripts?
    1. Yes, SyncNow can provide transcription services for an additional cost. The cost and turn around time is based on your selection
    2. By default, we will send the transcripts back to you for review and approval prior to synchronizing or captioning

  7. What formats do you accept for the transcripts?
    1. Plain text format (.txt)
    2. Any special formatting will hinder synchronization or captioning


  8. How is captioning different from transcripts?
    1. A transcript is a verbatim text file of the audio. The file isn't linked to the audio in any other format
    2. Captions are on-screen display of text for spoken dialogue and other meaningful sounds, where the text is synchronized with the audio


  9. How is a synchronized transcript different from a time stamped text transcript?
    1. Time stamped transcript is a plain text file with a time stamp of its occurrence prefixed at the beginning of each text line/word
    2. Synchronized transcript is a hyper linked document that is linked to the corresponding audio/video file. A user will be able to click on a word/text line in the hyperlinked document to play the media from that position
    3. Synchronized transcripts from SyncNow can be viewed in many browsers


  10. What do I get in ReadyToEncode Captions file?
    1. Ready ToEncode Captions file is a synchronized caption file in the selected format/s, which can be quickly processed by several caption embedding systems to embed captions into the end output media
    2. Ready ToEncode Captions file can also be processed by several DVD authoring tools and web media players to encode captions onto the end media. Ready ToEncode Captions outputs can be used in various Web players like Quicktime, Real player or Windows Media Player. You can use .SCC file to embed captions onto a DVD using many professional DVD authoring tools


  11. Can I get a Video/DVD embedded with captions content?
    1. Yes, very soon. Our EZCaptions service will provide an end to end solution for captions
